Zoos around the world and the Tree Kangaroo Conservation Project are working hard to save tree kangaroos and improve the lives of local communities where tree kangaroos are found. Tree kangaroos are only found in northeastern Australia and the island of New Guinea. Tree kangaroo habitat in New Guinea is also great habitat for coffee production. Since 1996, conservationists have been working with local residents of Papua New Guinea to save tree kangaroo habitat by developing sustainable coffee. The coffee is then sent to zoos and cafes for purchase. Every bag sold goes to help tree kangaroos and people. So, grab a cup of coffee and help save a tree kangaroo!
